Update 0.4.0.201
Fixed muzzle flash hiders as they now once again help conceal your position when firing. Resolved several gameplay bugs in raids and made interface improvements. Controls have been further refined and performance on consoles has been improved. Large monster clusters have returned to Isolated Raids, and Flowermen dash behavior has been adjusted.
Gameplay and Balance
- Fixed an issue where fall damage could erroneously be applied twice during a single hard landing.
- Bodies of players who died from falling no longer clip through and get stuck underneath the ground.
- Killing Seeds with an explosion now correctly credits the kill to the player who dealt the damage in player statistics.
- Ball Lightnings no longer spawn directly on top of players when reappearing.
- Drones no longer fly through dormant Shy Girls.
- Updated default gear presets for new players.
- Reduced delays between Flowermen dashes. Dashes no longer end prematurely.
- Items on the ground no longer erroneously spray blood when hit with melee weapons.
Weapons and Items
- Fixed muzzle flash hiders: they once again help conceal your shots and position.
- Fixed an incorrect reload animation for weapons with an open-bolt design.
- The Burst Injector can once again correctly be used from quick-access pockets.
- Adjusted RPG-7 balance: reduced projectile damage, projectiles now take up more inventory space, and they have received a new name and description. The weapon's positioning in the player's hands has also been improved.
- The PKM machine gun can now hold a round in the chamber.
Raids and Locations
- In Isolated Raids on Ozernoe, Factory, Shegolskoe (all variations), and Airport, large anomaly concentration zones can once again be encountered.
- Cargo Port: an "Abnormal Signal" zone has been moved away from the road and no longer blocks vehicle traffic.
Investigations
- "Strength Limit" Investigation: the contract requiring a supply drop is now guaranteed to be completed, as "Volkov’s Signal Grenade" will appear in your personal stash. Use it to call in a separate drop and open it - the task will be counted. Regular supply drops no longer count for this task.
- Investigation contracts no longer jump around in the list after completion: each stays consistent in its place in the Investigations menu. After closing an Investigation, you can track its narrative and story in order, step by step.
Interface
- Hired Ops: the allies list no longer pushes objectives off the screen’s edge, and player management buttons in this list are no longer cut off.
- On consoles, a squad where the leader plays on keyboard and mouse while a member uses a controller can once again enter raids. Instead of blocking, the keyboard and mouse player now only sees a warning. If the leader changes this setting, the member loses ready status and must confirm again.
- After dying in a raid, pressing a keybind to exit now triggers a confirmation prompt if there is still an ally you can spectate.
- The Quick Access action selection menu no longer opens if the character is dead.
- Player-made markers on the map no longer overlap key area coordinates on the compass.
- When inspecting a weapon, scope magnification no longer incorrectly displays as x1.2 instead of x1, and text on the inspection screen is now easier to read.
- Settings in the "Interface" options tab are now grouped, making it easier to find what you need.
Graphics and Performance
- Improved performance in areas with dense vegetation on consoles.
- Fixed game freezing on Steam Deck and Linux when minimizing the game.
Sound
- The special Distorted now has a unique aggression scream: it can no longer be confused with the sound when becoming a Distorted Hunter.
Controls
- Added DualSense adaptive triggers settings with three options: "Off," "Weak," and "Strong" (default). The "Combat Vibration" setting now only controls vibration, and trigger effects are no longer tied to it. Available on PS5 and PC when using a Sony controller.
- If DualSense adaptive triggers are enabled, aiming (L2) and shooting (R2) now activate when you push through the stiff portion of the trigger travel, not at the very start of the button press.
- Free look: when you release the look key, the camera now smoothly returns to the aiming direction instead of snapping back abruptly. If you're aiming at that moment, the return is still instant as before.
- For controllers on PC and XBOX, the default stick dead zones have been increased to recommended values for XBOX, preventing stick wear from causing the character to move or turn on their own. Any custom values set by the player will be preserved.
- On XBOX and PlayStation®, the on-screen keyboard will no longer appear when selecting a text field if a physical keyboard is connected, such as in profile notes.
- Fixed an issue where the camera would abruptly rotate 180 degrees when aiming while lying on one's back inside a gravitational anomaly. Also slightly reduced the angle you can raise or lower the camera while prone.
