Update 0.4.0.205
In this update, markers made on the map, and shown on the compass, now show distance and elevation more clearly. The “Repair All” inventory button now also repairs armor being carried as spares, and DualSense touchpad functionality has been improved. We’ve also decluttered the map — loot icons and zone labels are hidden until entering interactive map mode, and monster lairs are now initially marked as you approach them. A bug that allowed loading more ammunition into a weapon than it can hold has been fixed too.
Map and Markers
- Screen darkening from being outside the playable zone has been reduced and is now consistent across all locations.
- Monster lairs now only appear on the map when you get closer than 30m. A discovered lair stays on the map until end of the raid or until it’s neutralized.
- A loot zone border color now indicates the rarest loot within in it. Loot icons and labels have been removed from the map to reduce visual clutter; but the loot list is still visible when hovering over the zone on the map.
- Zone names on the raid map are now displayed only when in interactive map mode.
- The distance to markers is now displayed on both the map and the compass, and player marks on the compass now include an arrow indicating whether the target is above or below you.
- When hovering over a player marker, you can now see how much time remains until it’s automatically removed and how close you need to get for it to now disappear.
- The marker selection menu now shows the radius in meters for the “Nearby” option.
- If you set the transparency slider for your own markers or ally markers to minimum, the markers now will be completely hidden. At any other value, they remain visible.
- Fixed an issue where the marker icon next to a squadmate's name in the squad interface was either missing or empty.
Weapons and Items
- Fixed an issue where reloading a weapon could result in loading more ammunition than the weapon's capacity allows.
- The "Repair All" inventory button now also repairs armor stored in your rig, backpack, or safe container, in addition to the armor you currently have equipped.
Controller Controls
- DualSense touchpad: in the menus, a single finger moves the controller cursor, a tap acts as a button press; using two fingers allows for scrolling through lists, as well as panning and zooming on the map. A separate setting is no longer required for this, and using the touchpad doesn’t exit controller mode.
- Aiming via the touchpad during a raid is still enabled via the settings as before.
- Two-finger map zooming now centers on the point between your fingers, rather than on the center of the map. This also applies to touchscreens.
- DualSense adaptive trigger effects are disabled while a cursor is visible on the screen, such as when using the chat.
