Developer Q&A: April 13th 2026!

We’ve answered your questions regarding Harmonization, upcoming events, the development of PvE and PvP, underbarrel grenade launchers, and much more.

General Questions

What actually is Active Matter itself from a lore perspective?

Active Matter is a mysterious substance that forms in collapsing timelines, accelerating their demise. It’s also the only material capable of restoring the Multiverse. With its help, the Agency is working to synthesize a resilient timeline — one that withstands Active Matter surges and resists collapse.

Are we to expect any in-game events in the near future that are like December’s Holiday event?

Yes. This game is our life, and life has holidays. Core development takes a lot of time, but we’ll do our best not to miss other celebrations!

Do you have statistics on which weapons players use and how often? Can you share some?

Yes. We’ll share an infographic once we’ve fixed the main bugs and addressed the main feedback points from the recent "Gigastructure" major update.

Is a VR mode planned? The game's atmosphere would be incredibly well-suited for VR.

This would require significant preparation — it’s not as simple as just putting the image into a VR headset. So far, we haven’t even explored it at a concept level.

What happens when we report players in-game, is every report looked at?

Yes. We periodically review the most-reported players, and use internal replays and analyse the logs to decide on bans.

When will we see a Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese localization for the game?

At this time, we don’t plan to translate into those languages due to the currently small proportion of the audience these languages would make up. The game is changing rapidly (especially with the last major update), and adding new languages significantly increases the work needed to keep translations up to date. As a result, we try to gauge the size of each language community before committing to support. For example, one of the closest candidates is Polish.

Progression

What exactly will happen when the Harmonization progress bar reaches 100%? Is that a cycle change? What does it represent? Will the Harmonization window get improvements to help new players understand it?

We’ll definitely be improving the Harmonization window to make it clearer.

Harmonization is a transformation — the universe migrates from one phase to another. When the bar hits 100%, the process completes and every player will be operating in the new universe.

Some players can accelerate the process for themselves by choosing to skip the transformation and sacrifice their current progress; they’ll create a new Personal Timeline and move to the new universe immediately without restrictions, and their sacrifice reduces the overall load so the global transformation finishes sooner.

Do players need to complete 5 Monolith cycles in 30 days, according to the "cycle" progress on the Harmonization window, to get all the Effort Rewards? If not, what’s the expected timeline to earn them in the future?

After Harmonization ends, the Agency will slightly reduce the rewards — the Top Employee of Cycle I plaque will no longer be obtainable, and Crystallized Active Matter reward amounts will be reduced — and the remaining rewards will stay available until the end of the current full Harmonization cycle.

Each cycle is expected to last about three months — roughly one month of Harmonization followed by two months of stabilization — then the process repeats. When the new cycle begins, the Agency will establish a new reward policy.

Since Harmonization of the Multiverse is so core to the game, will the Harmonization progress bar be added to the game’s official website? It could add a lot to the lore and interest in the game.

Great idea — we’ll try to implement it.

How do you see the further development of the PvPvE and PvE components? Will it stay as it is now — potentially gear up in PvE and then engage in PvP — or will something change?

We’re exploring ways to combine raids so there are PvP and PvE zones on one large map, rather than multiple identical small maps with separate modes.

Our goal is for players to play together, even in PvE — other people are the stories, adventures, and fun we play games for. We understand why pure PvP can be hard for some in terms of experiencing said stories, but we also want anomaly research to avoid feeling like a purely single-player activity.

Are more Monolith rewards planned, for example repeatable ones for Shelter upgrades, for those who have already unlocked everything or are working toward it?

Yes. We’ll expand the reward list to make repeated playthroughs more comfortable.

In-Game Options & New Features

When will a killcam or replay feature be added? You mentioned it in a past Q&A.

It still requires significant work on both backend services and the game client. We’re actively developing the replay system and testing it internally to deliver a solid, player-friendly tool.

Will the "Furniture" or trophy hall be expanded upon further? I’d love to collect and display radios, children’s drawings, and more, and to better organize weapon storage.

Absolutely — this major update was just the beginning. We started small to avoid breaking anything, and we’ll expand the system to include common raid items and build out existing furniture like replicators, weapon racks, and more.

Will we be able to reassign perk points in the current Personal Timeline’s Perk Tree, since we did not know exactly when this last major update would be released?

Yes. Once we’re confident the system is working as intended, we’ll add tree reset options and grant everyone one unconditional, free reset.

Are trunks planned for the other vehicles that didn’t get them in the last major update?

Yes — trunks for more vehicles are planned, along with more natural refueling and repair interactions. We’ll also broaden the variety of vehicles available on maps.

Is there a plan to add underbarrel grenade launchers and bayonets?

Underbarrel grenade launchers: yes. Bayonets: not in the near future. We’re also adding more grips/handles and expanding magazine options.

Will there be more short-duration stimulants besides the Regeneration injector — maybe one that lowers heart rate?

Yes. We plan to add new stimulants that compensate for various negative effects.

Will we ever have an in-game description for where a dog tag came from in-game, such as if someone picks up the Twitch drop, Closed Beta Tester or developer dog tags?

Yes. When we return to dog tag collection development, we’ll create a catalog with all possible types.

Will you consider custom airdrops or a custom signal grenade that lets us pre-load gear at the Shelter and call it in during a raid?

Not for now — but we do plan to add early extraction for Robot Dogs.

Can hacked mindvaults of enemies killed directly by a signal grenade have unique death messages on the dog tag?

Yes. :)

Can we get an option to keep game audio playing when tabbed out?

That appears to be a bug — we’re investigating it.

Raids

The recent changes removing restrictions on Solo and Isolated raids are great, but what was the thinking behind the recent changes to make Isolated raids more difficult to progress with?

Progression now has competitive value through Harmonization and its rewards. Isolated raids aren’t as competitive, so we tuned progression there accordingly. Regardless, "Baseline Compliance" contracts, as Primary Objectives, are always available for pure Isolated raid (PvE) players to progress with.

Do you plan to diversify the task list for future Overtime raids?

Yes. Overtime raids already have unique tasks, and new Overtime raids will introduce new raid-specific tasks.

Will there be an option to disable automatic object grabbing so that climbing over something only happens on explicit button press rather than accidentally triggering during jumps, creating an accidental vulnerability in potential combat situations?

We understand the issue and are currently exploring solutions.

Will more maps in the "Unstable Zone" variant be added?

Yes!

How does the new gravity gun work, and why does it break when extracted to the Shelter?

It creates a personal gravity tunnel you can travel through — essentially letting you fly. It’s a complex device, and the Agency is working on secure extraction protocols, but for now it’s raid-only and won’t survive extraction.

Is there a plan to increase the maximum squad size for raids? If so, to how many players?

It is not planned at the minute, but it’s a possibility.
