Update 0.4.0.84
We’ve adjusted how Distorted react and wake to actions around them, preventing them from waking each other up in a chain. We’ve also placed a handy button in the inventory that suggests suitable items for each section, added more detail to how reconnaissance data on monsters is shown on the map, adjusted how some items in the Workshop work, and made countless other improvements and fixes.
Monsters
- Reworked Distorted noise perception:
- Ensured a single bullet is no longer perceived by Distorted as multiple noise sources.
- Reduced Distorted attraction from bullet hits on enemies compared to impacts on the environment.
- Reduced Distorted reaction to suppressed weapon fire and melee attacks.
- Increased Distorted attention drawn by opening containers.
- Made sleeping Distorted harder to wake; prevented them waking each other in a chain while allowing larger groups to wake simultaneously.
- Reduced Distorted responsiveness to noise originating on other floors.
- Fixed a bug where the Shy Girl would freeze after losing its target.
Gameplay and Balance
- Reworked medkits: healing now occurs in small automatic cycles, each consuming 50 units of medicine; allowed interruption at any time with a risk of partial loss of the medicine; distributed any excess healing abilities to other damaged body parts correctly.
- Changed the economy for crafting, dismantling, and blueprint restoration so chronotraces and credits scale with an item’s market price rather than its volume.
- Expanded the set of chronotraces obtained from dismantling weapons, modifications, and gear across all classes, and tied chronotrace composition to the item’s material.
- Standardized all armor plates to have 10 replication charges regardless of rarity.
- Increased replication charges for three rare weapon magazines to 5 from 3.
- Allowed Tier 3 chronogene charges to exceed the prior limit so that fusion always grants a charge, and now there is increased loss of them on death proportional to excess charge.
- Rebalanced loot and prices for Harmonization Cycle 2, and Monolith Access Levels 2 through 12 will award 15,000 Merits for a full ascent instead of 3,500.
- Reduced the force with which Ball Lightning blasts vehicles and drones.
Inventory
- Reworked the inventory window layout: moved the Rig beneath the weapon slots.
- Added a "plus" button to the backpack, pouch, and safe container inventory headers: at the Shelter it suggests suitable storage items; in a raid it suggests items from adjacent and carryable containers; when a container or trunk is open it suggests items that fit by volume.
- Enabled one-click return to storage for items in the backpack, pouches, or safe container when in the Shelter; redirected items to Quick Refine instead if that tab is open.
- Fixed various errors appearing during mass moving or discarding of items from a container.
Raids and Map
- Updated threat markers to show the type of enemy spawn (camp, grove, lair), its size (by threat color), and possible loot (including Active Matter, weapons, and gear).
- Added warnings on the raid preparation screen for empty armor, helmet, and flashlight slots when a suitable item exists in the storage; a headgear item without protction counts as an empty helmet slot in this regard.
- Fixed the raid menu cutting off the anomalous zone list on 16:10 monitors.
- Updated Vehicle Transfer contracts to show a clear car silhouette instead of a pixelated icon.
Interface
- Enabled headgear changes in the Body Sleeve customization window; ensured worn headgear displays correctly on the Operative in-game.
- Added portraits to Investigation headers tied to story characters.
- Fixed display of Merit costs and item carousels in Harmonization Cycle offers.
- Fixed instances of profile statistics overflowing menu boundaries.
Weapons and Equipment
- Changed the shop prices for uncommon and rare gear purchased with credits: uncommon items became roughly twice as expensive, rare items 2-3 times more expensive.
- Fixed an error in the Replicator: the request no longer fails when charges are combined from multiple stacks.
- Fixed the Refiner erroneously inflating quantities in ammo stacks and magazines.
- Fixed laser sight beams getting stuck in one place after entering a vehicle.
- Fixed a text error that could appear when switching weapons with a gamepad after checking ammo count.
- Fixed a bug preventing zeroing distance changes applying on a weapon without installed modifications.
- Fixed a bug where a weapon would remain offset to the side after exiting aiming mode.
Other Fixes
- Fixed incorrect water rendering when using a scope.
- Added collision to Shelter consoles and screens preventing the operative from walking straight through them.
- Reduced stuttering when exiting the shooting range.
